A native of the Pacific Northwest, Travier Hofto has been playing tennis for more than thirty years and coaching for almost twenty. A former student at the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy where Jim Courier and Andre Agassi were among his classmates, Trav was a top junior in Florida from 1985 to 1987.
After taking a break from playing, Trav found his passion in coaching the game. USPTA certified since 1996 he started his coaching career in California before moving back to the Seattle Area. He has taught locally at the Pro Sports Club, Central Park, and Harbor Square.
In 2005, as Head Coach at Lakeside, he coached the boys’ team to the Washington State 3A High School championships as well as individual singles and doubles titles. During the past 6.5 years at the Sammamish Club, Trav has built and led an acclaimed junior program and has enjoyed coaching USTA leagues as well as individuals who want to bring their game to the next level. Trav also enjoys the opportunities of the Northwest such as hiking and skiing, going out to movies and testing his knowledge every week playing pub trivia.
