    Green Dot

    green-dot-program
    Green Dot

Green Dot junior program is designed for advanced beginners players from 6 to 10 years old who have an interest in playing tennis but have not taken intensive instruction. Green Dot ball is a standard size tennis ball, but with lower compression for reduced flight and softer bounce which gives players opportunity to work on techniques and have longer rallies.

Players in this group will work on improving consistency in rallying the ball over the net and engage in a variety of play-based activities to help them develop playing strategies.

Our key focus for Green Dot program is stroke development:

    • Forehand- swing paths, grips, stances, different spins
    • Backhand- swing paths, grips, stances, spins
    • Volleys- racket head control, firm punch volley, applying underspin
    • Overhead and Serve- developing the basic motion
    • Rallying- Learning to control the ball with another player

    About our method

Our system is designed around a “pathway”, starting from the red/green/orange dot program and graduating into the high school or high performance program, and then developing fully as a competitive player.
We try not to rush advancement from one class to another, and instead focus on full mastery of what that level has to offer. Moving up is normally done at the recommendation of the coach, when they feel the student is ready.
We also like to keep certain groups together who train well with each other.

    Competitive environment

We believe that a competitive environment is the best place to learn to compete. We try to create a place that is highly competitive, and where students are pushing themselves to improve through all levels: technically, athletically, strategically, and in the field of self-mastery.
